My area of expertise is in merging the operations of a small business with technology. Often when a small business implements a new technology, it is a one time transaction, handled by a salesperson selling a product. Once the sale is made, the company installs and may train the user on how to use it. However, that is usually the end of the relationship, they don’t work with the business to fully integrate their operational processes to realize the full potential of the system.

The client wanted to better understand and map out their concept. I provided coaching and walked the client through various spreadsheets such as a 3-year growth plan, Profit and Loss statements, utilization charts and other metrics. Within a few sessions the client was prepared to talk with various bankers and was more knowledgeable and confident about their revenue model.

I don’t have one — by which I mean, I am concerned with the success of the project and the business, not with the use of a particular workflow to get there. I work with stakeholders to design a process that makes sense for the organization and supports its goals and constantly check in to see how it’s performing.
